Why Horses?!
When you step into a space with a horse, they don’t know your job title, who you are or what you are saying. They respond only to your body language, energetic presence, real emotions and intentions.
This non-verbal communication is something we all subconsciously emit in the workplace. It accounts for 93% of all human communication and has a HUGE effect on how we are perceived, how others respond to us and to what degree we are able to successfully lead, motivate and inspire others.
So when we invite participants to “lead” the horses in our Authentic Leadership programme, how the horses respond gives that person a true reflection of how they are perceived, what it’s like to be led by them and how well they can communicate with, motivate and influence others.
The resulting self-awareness is profound.
Leaders then have a unique opportunity to practice new approaches and witness in the moment the difference it makes to how the horse responds. This relates directly to how their team will respond to them back in the workplace.
