Expecting UK parents receive less support than European countries, new study claims…

Taking maternitypaternity pay and child benefit allowances into consideration, a study conducted by Voucherbox.co.uk has found that the UK receives less than half the support provided to parents in other European countries.

According to the study, the best place in Europe to start a family is Norway, where parents can receive up to £52,780 in child-related benefits; in comparison to the UK where new parents are entitled to just £16,758 in support; equating to 61 per cent of the national average wage.
