New analysis by salary benchmarking site Emolument has examined the salaries of over 52,000 individuals in London, with those in the finance sector coming out on top as most well paid, with the top 10% earning an average of £290,000 per annum, with gross salary and annual bonus taken into account.
The insurance sector came second with the top 10% earning an average of £153,000 per annum, with energy, mining, chemicals and environmental industries third, with the top salary averaging £143,000 per annum.
