Thriving in the New Normal

By Lee Morris, Associate Director at andpartnership

The world as we know it has changed since lockdown on March 23rd. For businesses, this has been a difficult time as consumer behaviour and demand shifted almost overnight and many people have been working from home which has significantly helped to flatten the coronavirus curve.

For leaders and HR teams, particularly those without ‘remote working’ policies in place, it has been a quick and reactive process that has forced leaders to adapt their style and take a coaching approach. But what about leadership and organisational development? Put on the ‘back burner’? Now could be a great time to re-ignite your offer.

The new normal

As soon as it became clear that coronavirus would have an enormous impact on day-to-day life and business practices, the team at andpartnership were proactive in moving their products online.

Virtual Development Programmes – We have facilitated development programmes virtually to a number of clients, with engagement still at the top of our agenda. We use interactive polls, whiteboards, breakout rooms and instant chat so participants can still experience that personal touch. Focuses for these sessions vary from coaching to leadership, wellbeing to management skills.

Bespoke Webinars and Bite-sized Learning – Everything your organisation needs to help them through these unprecedented times. From holding effective virtual meetings to managing performance from home, we can deliver sessions from 30 minutes to 3 hours dependent on client needs.

Mental Health Aware – These 4-hour virtual sessions are accredited by Mental Health First Aid (England) and  help increase knowledge of mental health and the confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue,

Online Coaching – Our experienced coaches are also on-hand to deliver virtual coaching sessions over Zoom for up to 60 minutes, or a programme of 3-4 sessions, providing coaches with a fantastic opportunity to make sense of the new world and take positive steps to ensure they remain ahead of the game!

Wellbeing – For people keen to check in with their physical and mental wellbeing during these uncertain times, we’ve re-created our Wheel of Wellbeing Energies so it is available  online, alongside an online video feedback and coaching session. Complete the 60 question online questionnaire and we’ll create a bespoke report which measures your wellbeing. We’ll then arrange a feedback session either over the phone or via Zoom.

The future is bright

Many of us will have heard already that sticking to our routines and keeping up with colleagues, friends and family digitally will really help us manage our mood and when working from home, our productivity.

Whether now feels like the right time to develop your leadership skills to help manage your people and your own time, or you’re keen to keep up with your normal development commitments, we hope that by shifting our offering online we can help people and businesses thrive – not just survive.
