Moving the coaching conversation online

By Lee Morris, Associate Director at andpartnership

The world as we know it has changed in a matter of weeks. For businesses, this has been a difficult time as consumer behaviour and demand shifted almost overnight and where possible, people are working from home to help flatten the coronavirus curve.

For leaders and HR teams, particularly those without working from home policies in place, it has been a quick and reactive process that has put coaching and leadership skills into practice.

The new normal

As soon as it became clear that coronavirus would have an enormous impact on day to day life and business practices, the team at andpartnership were proactive in creating online coaching sessions for leaders who want to brush up on their skills and make the most of this time.

Whether this is for general development or to aid leaders during this difficult and potentially prolonged period, our online sessions will offer valuable insights into managing people, time and much more. Our experienced coaches are on hand to deliver virtual sessions over Zoom for up to 60 minutes, or a programme of 3-4 sessions.

For people keen to check in with their physical and mental wellbeing during these uncertain times, we’ve re-created our Wheel of Wellbeing Energies so it is available  online, alongside an online video feedback and coaching session. Complete the 60 question online questionnaire and we’ll create a bespoke report which measures your wellbeing. We’ll then arrange a feedback session either over the phone or via Zoom.

For organisations who are still able to offer group development sessions, we are also able to facilitate them online, with engagement still at the top of our agenda. We use interactive polls, breakout rooms and instant chat so participants can still experience that personal touch. Focuses for these sessions vary from coaching to leadership, wellbeing to management skills.

The future is bright

Many of us will have heard already that sticking to our routines and keeping up with colleagues, friends and family digitally will really help us manage our mood and when working from home, our productivity.

Whether now feels like the right time to develop your leadership skills to help manage your people and your own time, or you’re keen to keep up with your normal development commitments, we hope that by shifting our offering online we can help people and businesses thrive – not just survive.
