The finance organisation, Maxxia, has declared that more than half of 100 employer respondents who offer a car salary scheme to their workforce will benefit from a boost in employee morale.
The ‘HR views on salary sacrifice car schemes’ report, which focused on UK-based companies with 250 or more employees, found that 49 per cent who include a car salary sacrifice scheme as part of their employee benefits package do so in order to attract new talent to the company.
Moreover, 47 per cent believe implementing car salary sacrifice schemes can also actively encourage the use of ‘safer and greener’ cars.
Business development director at Maxxia, Gordon Calder-Jones, commented in a statement: “What this report really shows us is that there is a problem of clarity in this sector. The majority of HR decision makers believe the schemes are a valuable benefit, yet not all are implementing them due to misconceptions about perceived risk and hassle.”
He continued: “By reviewing the latest schemes in the market, HR staff would be aware that it is possible to enjoy all of the benefits that salary sacrifice car schemes have to offer with none of the risks or hassles normally attached.”
