Les Mills, the world leader in group fitness, has expanded its workplace wellbeing offering with a range of fitness solutions to support healthy workforces as companies bid to bounce back from COVID-19. Les Mills will be hosting a live corporate webinar on 4th August at 11am to discuss how companies can enhance their employee health and wellness for the ultimate workplace wellbeing solution. Famous for creating workouts such as BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT and BODYBALANCE, Les Mills is recognised as the most popular group exercise programme in the world, an accolade it has held for over 50 years.
What started as a small family-run local gym in Auckland, NZ has evolved into a (still family-owned) global business in 110 countries, with 21,000 of the world’s leisure clubs and an army of 140,000 instructors – all within the Les Mills brand.
With its 50 years’ experience, Les Mills creates programmes that are rigorously backed by scientific research and studies, aimed at increasing performance and achieving results.
Supporting the workforce
In what has been a turbulent 18 months, morale and the health and wellbeing of workforces has never been more important for all businesses. This sentiment is echoed by a recent survey, from McKinsey revealing 91% of employees believed their employers should care about their health and 85% said that behavioural health benefits were important when evaluating a new job.
Les Mills is supporting employees to get their fitness back on track. Its range of corporate wellbeing services include a mix of digital and physical fitness solutions that enable employers to offer world class fitness solutions to their employees both in the office, via virtual, live classes or at home through Les Mills On Demand (LMOD).
Since launching, the programme has welcomed the likes of adidas, Apple and Dentons to its growing roster of corporate wellbeing partners.
Les Mills Content Player
Most recently, Les Mills has launched Les Mills Content via Web Player: an onsite self-service programme, designed to help make health and wellbeing services easily accessible at work.
Les Mills has been working in consultation with corporate organisations and HR professionals to launch this new service. Delivered via a web browser, the LES MILLS Content via Web Player can be accessed on laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Eminently portable around the workplace, it can be accessed anywhere in the building in a range of workplace active spaces such as meeting rooms, breakout spaces, communal areas or a studio space.
The web player’s On Demand playback option enables employees to reset, recharge and find balance at work, with access to 100+ workout videos.
Not just fitness
But of course, it’s not just about fitness levels. Recognising the need to create a deeper holistic health offering, the Les Mills Content via Web Player also includes access to a brand new range of life-enhancing yoga, stretch, breathing, mindfulness and meditation sessions.
The calming practices are the perfect complement to physical workouts. They have been carefully crafted to enhance connection to breath and body and help access a deeper state of calm in an often-frantic world.
- BREATH TRAINING (6 sessions ranging from 5-15 min)
Explore breath techniques to increase energy and vitality, improve clarity of mind and boost physical and emotional resilience. These powerful sessions span 5-15 minutes. - YIN YOGA (6 sessions ranging from 5-55 min)
Experience soft yoga poses and focused breathwork to calm minds and open hearts. There is a full guided yoga journey, or a short yoga practice that will centre you at any time of the day. - MEDITATION (5 sessions ranging from 5-15 min)
Learn simple techniques to help quickly transition from chaos to calm, shift away from anxiety, sleep easy, and enhance peace and wellbeing across all aspects of life.
The inclusion of this wellness-focused content is a timely addition to the web player launch, enabling a flexible wellbeing programme that caters to all sections of the workforce.
Create a virtual studio
Another benefit of Les Mills’ corporate wellness programme includes the option to create a virtual fitness studio within an office in an existing space quickly and efficiently. This solution has already been adopted in meeting rooms, residential apartment complexes and hotel blocks to make it easier for people to fit a workout into their day. In addition, Les Mills’ virtual bikes can also be installed to augment the offering, while regular health and wellness content is available to educate and inspire employees.
“With health now the world’s number one priority, there’s greater focus on every element of people’s wellbeing as companies begin to think about what their future work set-up will look like,” says Richard Sale, Global Business Development Director for Les Mills. “Our offering brings virtual fitness to life and is scientifically-designed to help keep workforces healthy. The beauty of Les Mills Content via Web Player is that our partners can take full advantage of our programmes wherever they are within the workplace, or whilst they are working remotely from home. This will be key to supporting employees in the future as they begin to return to the office and we see a more hybrid approach to work-places.”
