The leading provider of executive search and leadership consulting, Heidrick & Struggles, has announced the launch of ‘The Leadership Network’, a forum for female senior executives who aspire to achieve C-Suite status.
More than 130 females from government, industry and the not-for-profit sector were in attendance the inaugural event held on October 12, where a panel discussion touched on the trend for women executives who might otherwise have a path to C-Suite roles opting instead for so-called “plural careers”—accepting multiple non-executive director roles — whereby making them unavailable for the highest executive positions.
A partner at Heidrick & Struggles, Jenni Hibbert said: “The launch of the Leadership Network helps address the need to create and support a sustainable talent pipeline for senior women leaders in business. It is an invitation-only forum for female C-suite leaders and our objective is to offer senior women across all sectors the opportunity to enhance their professional development, exchange ideas and share learning with their peers.”
